Selling here

Essex prices sit between Bergen and Passaic, and older houses make up much of the stock: in Glen Ridge nearly three in four predate 1939. The estimate gets you a first figure, and Laura will come see the house when you're ready.

Buying here

Essex had the country's first county parks department, and its parks reach these towns: Branch Brook, Brookdale, Eagle Rock and South Mountain. Montclair alone has six train stations. Send Laura the towns you're considering and what you need, and she'll follow up.

Common questions

How do I get to New York City from these Essex towns?

Montclair-Boonton Line trains run from Montclair, Glen Ridge and Bloomfield to New York Penn Station and Hoboken. West Orange runs a weekday jitney to nearby stations, and Nutley and Cedar Grove have buses to Midtown.

Are older homes common in Essex County?

In several of these towns, yes. Montclair has six historic districts, and much of Glen Ridge sits in its own. In that district a preservation commission reviews construction, so check before planning exterior work.

Does Laura work outside these eight towns?

Yes, any town in Essex County. These eight are only the nearest to her Clifton office, so wherever you live in the county, send her a message.
